More Einsteining

Here's the latest video of Ollie Einstein. After an terrible accident he recovered well and is now back to being the labrador he's supposed to be. Here some impressions of a trip in a boat in Nieuwkoop and some flashbacks when he was younger. Ollie Einstein is now 8,5 months old and an adolecsent dog. Forgetting his name when I call him and all that stuff. Not a good time to teach him new tricks. We will soon go duck hunting, but still has to learn to retrieve things. Apart from carrying my keys, steal carrots, and wallets out ladies purses, he's pretends not to remember what he has learned previously. I got Ollie a new playmate - a kitten of 7,5 weeks old - last weekend. The kitten is not very socialized and is scared of everything. Have fun watching Ollie Einstein life in Nieuwkoop and beaching time.

Ollie Einstein in France

Every year my dad and his wife go to their house in the Loire Valley in France. One of us kids drive them over there and pick them up beginning of October.
This year Ollie joined me  when we went there end of May.

This is the video about his life in France. He enjoyed it soo much to have 2 acres of land to run around in and to have everyones attention.

Kittens growing and leaving home soon

This year Socks and Ratatouille had their kittens at the same time while I was away in France.
Mother Socks didn't like the layout of the babyroom and moved them to and empty sewing machine box. I dediced to move all kittens in one basket.
As other years these kittens have given me lots of joy and pleasure.

Never got the time to create this video clip until last week.
This is more or less a try out with the new software is this the result of the second litter of Socks.
They are such cutie pies and Ollie - as usual - was undergoing their explorations while keeping a close eye.

Onze lieve Coco is weer terug!

Hier een klein videootje van onze Coco die ons zoveel zorgen heeft gebaard de laatste paar maanden. Was geschrokken door een hond een half Heiloo heeft gezocht naar Mademoiselee Coco.
Ze is eindelijk terug.

Ollie is back in the picture

Poor Ollie. It has been quite a while since he has been the center of attention lately. All the news was about Socks, Ratatouille and her other kittens.
He has all been forgotten with all the kitten traffic around the house. But here's the good news.
Ollie has been on a date too lately. (sounds like Ollie Einstein's blog is more a dating site than anything else).
Anyway he has a girlfriend in the village. Vlassie her name is. She's a very pretty chocalate labrador and is very well taken care off as well. Like Ollie she's high on her legs and very playfull.
Ollie and Vlassie have been dating the last week and we (the parents of our mutual four footed webbed footed friends) think they are suffering from this self inflicted desease called LOVE!
So hopefully in about 60-65 days my Ollie is to be fathering over some puppies. We are very excited and even though Ollie is black and Vlassie is chocolate color, their puppies can be all the colors: brown, yellow and black. Ollie's official name is Gismo von Graf Engelbert, but don't call him that. It annoys him. His mom Baghira von Graf Engelbert herself is from a black mom and yellow father. So chances are her offspring is chocolate, black and yellow.

Ollie Einstein's playmate Socks had another surprise

Darn... Socks had been dating without us knowing about it. She had a second litter on August 30th. The birth of the 4 kittens wasn't without a problem. Happily Ollie and I were at home so we could assist with a breech presentation. But all went well.

CC, Socks kitten born 2 weeks ago

With help of Ollie. If it were for Socks, she would have delivered the kitten in between Ollie's paws.

Here's CC. Sock's kitten born on May 16th. It's the only kitten and boy it shows! At the time I wrtie this he is just over 2 weeks old and looks like a kitten of 6 weeks
