CC, Socks kitten born 2 weeks ago

With help of Ollie. If it were for Socks, she would have delivered the kitten in between Ollie's paws.
Here's CC. Sock's kitten born on May 16th. It's the only kitten and boy it shows! At the time I wrtie this he is just over 2 weeks old and looks like a kitten of 6 weeks

Dutch Skating Fever

Skating Fever is a typical Dutch self inflicted disease.
After a couple of days of frost when ditches are barely frozen over, you will find half of  the Dutch population on the ice, socializing while (trying) skating and enjoying at a 'koek 'n sope'. Little self made booths with whatever material, where you can enjoy a hot soup, some well needed alcohol like Beerenburger or stroopwafel, a typical dutch sweet delight.

We have had some droopy months this winter, but finally changed when it began freezing last week with record lows last night of -23 degrees C.
I looked more like the horrible snowman, dressed up in all the clothes I could find protecting myself against the cold and icy wind, when taking Ollie out for our evening walks.

Today was the first beautiful day full of sunshine and even the temperature was bearable.

This post to be finished soon with today's pictures of appropriate music of course.

In memory of my Coco and ducklings

When living in the other house, there were a couple of ducks visiting me every day. When they got their ducklings the daily visits continued. Two Mama ducks were very proud to show off their off spring and expected me to feed them as well. Which of course I did. They were so cute.
When they were not around the house I would call "Babies" and they would come running.
Unfortunately that year there was the bird flue and one after the other died. When they were around my house I tried to nurse them as well as I could. But none of them made it.
This is a draft video with pictures only. The video footage I  have is in a mobile phone format and still needs to be converted.

Enjoy!
